In this Episode of the Hyper-V Amigos Showcast we look at VMFleet. VMFleet is a free Microsoft test suite to show the performance of a Hyper-converged Storage Spaces Direct Setup. In this Episode Didier and Carsten show you how it works, how you measure with it and how you do the complemte setup. And all of this in just around 2 hours 😉
In this Showcast Didier and Carsten are playing with a Hyper-converged Storage Spaces Direct System with Windows Server 2016 installed. The show some crazsy performance numbers and even turn 2 of the 4 nodes off. While playing with the Cluster we see also some new Features like Distributed Storage QoS, Cluster and VM Isolation and Cluster Fairshare.
My friend Didier and I were two weeks in the US to attend two great events – the VeeamON Conference at the end of October in Las Vegas and the Microsoft MVP Summit at the beginning of November in Redmond. Between those two exiting weeks Didier and I visited the Grand Canyon. Boy is this hole in the ground impressive. So we decided to make a video in front of this beautiful nature and of course talk about technical stuff. Because the view is so great we went to three different places to get the different angles on the Canyon.

Last week the first Microsoft Ignite 2015 Conference took place in Chicago. Didier Van Hoye (@WorkingHardinIT), Adain Finn (joe_elway) and Carsten Rachfahl (@hypervserver) where between the amazing 23.500 attendees. After the conference we sat down in front of a camera to share our impressions and thoughts about the event. Bye the way we also touch a lot of tech stuff. We talked about: virtual TPM, Storage Spaces Direct, PowerShell Direct, Hyperconverged, Nano Server and Azure Stack.
We had a lot of fun at the conference and in the video so we hope you enjoy it too.
